A world full of friends and wonderful sights

Holland in pictures and postcards
The Damrak - shopping
The Damrak - one of the big shopping streets. Notice the tram lines, and the shops and buildings packed closely together. At the top of this street is the Central Station (Centraal Station) where a million people come and go every day. I sat on the steps in the right-hand corner for more than two hours one day, nibbling some "frites" (french fries in a twist of paper, topped with mayonnaise), and just watching life go by.
