The word Iguazu simply means "great waters" in the local Indian dialect. The thunderous roar can be felt in every pore of your being the closer you get to the falls.
There might be higher waterfalls elsewhere in the world, but
Iguazu has breathtaking views that will be difficult to repeat.

According to legend, the great waterfall was created in an outburst
of rage by the god of the Iguazu River, who lived in a particularly
wild and violent area of the downpour called the Garganta do Diablo
