The trainer was picked up by one of the whales, pushed around the pool and then he neatly dove into the water. The picture below was snapped just in time.
It must be a tremendous feeling to be so close to such a huge animal.
Biology time! A male's dorsal fin is pointed and can be up to 7' (231 cm) long. The female's dorsal fin is shorter and curves towards the back. They can life up to 100 years. The orca has never been known to attack a human being.
The females danced for us ....
...one picked the trainer up from the bottom of the pool floor and flung him high ...
... a volunteer received a kiss from a friendly giant ....
What a show! What a wonderful, beautiful, lovely show!!! Can I go again?
There is also a games arcade where the kids could win tickets
to swap for something else. The boys played and Chris and Arno joined them.
I went shopping for postcards. But they are all the big size, so I ended
up buying a booklet of smaller ones, showing different scenes that I'll
scan in as soon as possible.
