The AVENHAM PARK now sells a guest alongside Boddingtons and Marsden Pedigree, Batemans Winter Wellie on a recent visit. The MARKET TAVERN has been selling Pictish Brewery beers alongside two other guest beer. The GRAND JUNCTION is currently closed awaiting a new tenant. The FOX AND GRAPES is now selling a guest beer alongside the Theakston best and Courage Directors, Black Sheep bitter recently. The GOLDEN CROSS has re-opened selling Robinson's best bitter. | |||||||||||||||||||

The MALT 'N' HOPS has increased its range of beers to nine, including Theakston Cool Cask. The TOP LOCK in Wheelton is a fine cask ale outlet, selling a brew from many north west micro breweries. The HOLTS pub in Chorley, the DUKE OF YORK is currently closed and boarded up. THE QUEENS (near the railway station) has re-opened, however, no real ale is available. The EAGLE AND CHILD has reopened, selling 2 guest beers, Black Sheep has been on recently. Construction of a micro-brewery is reported to be under way at the DRESSERS ARMS at Wheelton, with production expected before Christmas. | |||||||||||||||||||
