5th Ashton Institute beer festival
When is it? Approx. 30 beers on offer
The festival begins on Thursday 16th November 2000. Doors open at 7 pm and last orders are called at 11 pm.
The opening hours for Friday 17th November and Saturday 18th November will be 12 noon opening through to last orders at 11pm.
Sunday 19th November hours will be 12 noon opening through to last orders at 10:30pm, or until the beer runs out.

Admission to each session will be 50 Pence, which goes to the Royal Preston Hospital Intensive Care Unit.

Entertainment will be DJ Eddie Kilner on Thursday evening. Music-free Friday. Saturday features a local DJ.

A T-Shirt and breweriana auction will be ongoing throughout the festival, in aid of the Royal Preston Hospital Intensive Care Unit. Sponsored by the following Preston pubs; Angels; Exchange; Dog and Partridge; Hogshead; Limekiln; Stanley Arms; Flax and Firkin; Sun Hotel and the White Bull in Longridge.

A taxi from town centre will cost around £3-£4, the club is near Slingers motorcycles if the driver is unsure.
By bus; the easiest bus to reach the Ashton Instittue by is the Preston Bus service 24 Lea or 25 Lea. Leaving the bus station every 12 minutes during the day and every 20 minutes after 6pm., it travels via Friargate (Dog and Partridge etc), along Fylde Road (Hogshead) and turns up Tulketh Road by Muldoons and the Grand Junction. For the best stop for the Ashton Institute, ring the bell as the bus paases the Wellington pub and alight at St Michaels church. This is at the opposite end of Wellington Road to the Ashton Institute, an easy five minute walk.
On Sundays there is only one service 25 Lea per hour, leaving the bus station on the hour, every hour.
