Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Here are a few answers to several FAQs we've answered recently:
Q:What if there is no local access number available for me?
A:You can still use the access number located closest to your home. However you'll likely be required to pay long distance charges to use that number. The Connector does not incur extra connectivity charges for any of our members, and cannot be responsible for them. Cellphone users please take note: while use of such equipment to access our systems may be an inexpensive option for users outside local calling areas, we discourage such use. Over time it has been recorded that cell-technology and land-based switching systems can result in accounts stalled within our systems, causing possible inability to log off, thereby decreasing the amount of purchased time available. There is also the outside chance that evildoers can intercept your calls.
Q:How can I get free time to use the voice personals?
A: If you're female, your calls are always free. If you're a new customer, we run great deals all the time, you may even be eligible for bonus or even FREE time to tryout the system. NOTE: Men found using free female accounts may have their accounts blocked and/or be billed for time incurred while using the system.
Q:My Upgrade Code doesn't work. What should I do?
A: New UG codes can only be used once per customer AND once per household. If you have another UG code OR another person in your household would like to use the system, please call our office 24 hrs a day to get a new code, or help to create a new account. Occasionally, used UG codes get reissued, or may have been blocked for several reasons. If the code you received is NEW, or recently PURCHASED, please call our office ASAP at (800) 875-9206, and you will be reissued a valid Upgrade Code.
Q:I haven't used your system in a couple years, is my account still good?
A:YES! If you have NOT used up all your available minutes AND are in good standing, your account will remain active until, well....when grass grows on the moon. Our system is here for YOUR entertainment and leisure.
Q:Are you Y2K compliant?
A:(Sigh) You're kidding, right? If you're reading this, we likely still are.
