Youth Exchange Report for 1999-00
(Posted on 31st July 1999)
1. We have successfully hosted 13 youths from Finland and 1 girl from the USA.
2. We have finalised youth exchange arrangements with Finland, Japan, USA, and the arrangement with Malaysia, Australia, Germany, and 10 other countries are at an advanced stage, and I am hopeful of it being finalised by the end of this month.
3. Our youths who are in Japan and Finland now are enjoying it there, and they would be returning shortly.
4. I have issued circular to all Cabinet Officers and senior Lions and have requested them to help us in hosting the foreign youths and in identifying the Indian youths for going abroad.
5. I will be issuing another circular as soon as I receive the addressograph of Cabinet Officers.
6. When the arrangements are finalised and the host countries identified, we will be issuing Press Releases in various newspapers all over the District.
